Our People

Christianne Ebel

Christianne Ebel is a photographer from a multicultural, multigenerational household in New Jersey. With more than thirty years of experience in photojournalism and portraiture, her work explores personal narrative and the ways images shape how we understand ourselves and one another. Christianne is the founder and lead photographer of the Glimmer Portrait Project, where she creates meaningful portraits for families navigating childhood illness.

Alma Kennedy

Alma Kennedy is the first assistant for the Glimmer Portrait Project, where she supports portrait sessions with lighting, setup, and logistics while helping families feel comfortable and welcomed throughout the process. Alma has led circus camps, dance classes, and skateboarding groups for children, bringing a playful and supportive energy that helps young participants feel safe and excited during their portraits. With a background in amateur acting, dance, and university studies in social work, she has a natural ability to put people at ease.

Nolan Yamashiro

Nolan Yamashiro has worked as a professional part-time event photographer for the past two years. His primary career for more than twenty years has been in higher education, where he has served as a fundraiser and program manager.
